Dad Angel Memorial

Thomas Joe Angel

Tom Angel, 67, died September 17, 2022, at his home in Orange Park, Florida.

A memorial service to celebrate his life is being held at 1:00 pm October 15, 2022, at First Baptist Church of Middleburg in Middleburg, FL. Tom was born December 13, 1954, in Harvey, IL., to Wayne and Otella Angel.

Tom is survived by his wife, Connie, and their child Sierra, stepdaughter Kristie Mora (Al) of Desert Hot Springs, CA and stepson Paul Mitchell (Tammy) and their children Devon Mitchell and Jasmine Mitchell of Indio, CA. He is also survived by daughter Amy Angel-Sherman of Middleburg, FL, and her children Jacob Sherman, Hannah Sherman, Noah Sherman, Noelle Copeland (Marcus), and Luke Sherman, and son TJ Angel (Sydney) and their children Emma Angel and Tate Angel of Neosho, MO, and by many family members and loved ones.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents Wayne and Otella Angel, his brother Buddy Angel, and first wife Penny Angel.

Tom was the Vice President of Recoveries Unlimited, Inc. and IMGRail Consulting, formerly Interstate Management Group, for more than 30 years until he recently retired in 2010.

Tom spent his life working hard to put a smile on the face of every person he came in contact with. He enjoyed spending time with his kids, grandkids, family, and friends. He loved volunteering his time as a greeter at his church in Middleburg. You always knew him by his Hawaiian shirt, shorts, and stylish Crocs, staples of his attire. Tom loved all things Railroad, as he spent all his career in the industry. He also loved Southern Gospel music. One of his favorite parts of the week was his Thursday morning men’s breakfast at Country Cabin.

Though his love in life were the people around him, as evident in the way he spent his time, his true love was Jesus Christ. He tried to live out Jesus in all that he said and all that he did . . . He succeeded.
